Mittenwalder Hütte in Mittenwald

Mittenwald is a great town to visit. Plenty of hiking trails within walking distance of the center of town. Our favorite is the hike to the Mittenwalder Hutte. Hiking up to about 1500 meters, the trek up is steep at times, but mostly on a good track. There are some awesome views along the way. We hiked up at the end of May and there was plenty of snow still on the mountain and was a tad chilly once we made it to the hutte. But as with most hikes in Germany, at the top we were able to get some coffee and a beer and enjoy the views of the valley below. We knocked the hike out in roughly two hours up and about an hour back down. I would plan on at least 3-4 hours to do the hike. It is well worth the effort and I hope we are able to go back and hike it again.

Great hut for hikers to stay overnight, have dinner and breakfast. The team tries very hard and is always helpful. Dinner was a dream. The Kaiserschmarrn is particularly recommended! Keep it up, we'll be back!

We used the Mittenwald hut as a stopover on our tour. Relaxed, enjoyed the mountain panorama, drank Mittenwald beer, eaten Flädla soups and the best Kaiserschmarrn ever Top service and very good food

The hut is very cozy, has a great location with a view of the evening sun and whoever gets upset about the fact that there is no shower has probably never been to a mountain hut. The older complaints about the landlord are completely obsolete, since there has been a nice and helpful new landlady since the turn of the year 19/20. The prices are moderate - breakfast only costs 7 euros.

The hut is very cozy, has a great location with a view of the evening sun and whoever gets upset about the fact that there is no shower has probably never been to a mountain hut. Good morning, the Mittenwaldhütte is excellent for a stop, the hospitality and the catering are very good. Definitely a thumbs up and a schnapps can't hurt to descend.

The hospitality is solved well due to Corona. The drinks were fetched quickly and nice and cold. The Kaiserschmarren was very tasty and was good for two people. The prices are typical of a hut. All in all, the climb to the hut is worthwhile.

Very nice hut with good food and a beautiful view as well as many places to chill out. There are some cozy sun spots next to the hut. If you want to eat something, there is space below at the hut, there are tables. There is also a self-pickup for drinks.

The prices are peppered, the portion of noodles was very accurate, for a young boy definitely too small, the large breakfast for 9 euros very economical, the filling of the water bottle for hut guests should cost 2 euros, the way to the outside not lit, a Star for the beautiful view
